Misaki sits at the very southern tip of Osaka Prefecture, where the coast faces the Kii Channel and the Pacific beyond. It’s about as far from central Osaka as you can get while still staying within the prefecture — and that distance is the point. Misaki Country Club offers coastal golf with a setting that has nothing in common with the urban courses further north.
The Course
The course takes advantage of the headland terrain — rolling ground with coastal views, sea breezes that affect club selection, and a layout that uses the natural character of the land. Wind plays a genuine role here; what the yardage suggests and what the conditions require are often two different things, which adds a layer of interest to the round.
The Misaki area is also known for its fishing — the tuna caught here (本マグロ) is among the best in Japan, and a post-round meal in the port area is a natural extension of the trip. Golf and tuna sashimi is a combination that’s hard to argue with.
