Toki City is at the heart of the Mino ceramic belt — the valley that produces Minoyaki, Japan’s most commercially significant pottery tradition and the origin of much of the tableware used in Japanese homes and restaurants. The hills above the kiln towns are well-suited to golf, and Shinyo Country Club occupies good terrain in this ceramic landscape.
The Course
The course is set on rolling hillside terrain above the Toki River valley, with mature tree cover and a layout that suits the natural contours of the ceramic hills. Well-maintained greens and a design that rewards accurate iron play make for a satisfying round. The Minoyaki outlets and pottery museums in the valley below are an obvious post-round destination.
