Utsumine-yama is a flat-topped mountain that rises above the Abukuma Plateau south of Koriyama — a natural fortress that served as a stronghold during the Nanbokucho wars of the 14th century and commands panoramic views across the Nakadori corridor of Fukushima. Sukagawa City, at the mountain’s foot, is also the birthplace of the science fiction writer Eiji Tsuburaya, creator of Ultraman. Utsumine Country Club sits in the hills of this historically layered landscape.
The Course
The course occupies rolling hillside terrain below the Utsumine plateau, with views toward the mountain on several holes.
