Tomioka is best known for its UNESCO-listed silk mill — the Tomioka Silk Mill that anchored Japan’s industrial revolution in the Meiji era. But rising behind the city is something equally dramatic: Myogi-san, a jagged volcanic peak whose distinctive silhouette defines the western Gunma skyline. Myogi Country Club is built into the hills beneath that peak.
The Course
The course uses the varied terrain of the Myogi foothills well, with elevation changes and forested corridors that create a visually striking layout.
