Wakayama Prefecture is one of the most underrated destinations in the Kansai region — home to Koyasan, the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes, and coastline that faces the Pacific with a different kind of wildness from the Seto Inland Sea to the north. The Course
The course is set in the forested hills of northern Wakayama, with a layout that uses the mountain terrain to create a genuinely varied round. Tree-lined corridors define the fairways clearly, elevation changes create interesting approach angles, and the overall setting has the kind of natural character that resort courses in more accessible locations struggle to replicate.
